Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s proposed budget for 2017-2018, as well as the bond package, will be hotly debated topics in the General Assembly in the coming month. Both contain important funding for conservation and clean water, two things Virginians support based on a recent poll conducted by an organization of which I am on the board, VIRGINIAforever, The Nature Conservancy, The Trust for Public Land and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
